Our vacation....

Laynie got to take a picture with Jasmine... when we left she said but I wanted to go see Tinkerbell again and go get my passys back... so sweet..
We stayed at the Grand California this time and one of the awesome benefits is that we get to dine with the characters! the kids loved this!

Adie loved Pluto!

I think Adie is ready for vacation to be over with! She was pooped by the end of the trip!

Terrible picture but it caught the moment... we were on Blake's favorite ride Muhollands Madness at California Adventure... he loves this roller coaster

Adie and I sipping on drinks by the pool!

Here's the stingray that was caught.... I was freaking out because Blake was getting so close....

Blake got to hold a crab that a fisherman caught... he through it back in the water because it was to small!

Here's the Imax theatre.. this was great! Blake and Laynie kept reaching there hands out because of course it looked like things were jumping out at them! It was our first 3D show!

Look there's the golden gate bridge socked in with fog...

Muir Woods National Monument

this is why we didn't spend the entire day at the observatorium!

We also went to the observatorium in San Francisco... the kids had a blast there! We took so many great pictures there... we really could have spent the entire day there.

On the way to Monterrey we stopped at this Lighthouse on the side of the road, took some great pictures there!

These jellyfish were so awesome! That was one of my favorite parts of the aquarium!

These were great pictures of the kids through the seahorse tanks.. the seahorses were also my favorites but couldn't really get a good picture of those guys:0(

Well life has just been crazy lately! Last month was our first vacation... well the kind where we don't go back to our home town... Salina, Kansas. We decided to drive up the California coast for Blake's first spring break. Which I might add is a big time bummer that we can't just travel whenever we want now that Blake is in kindergarten! So we packed up all three kids and off we went... First stop Monterrey Bay! It was beautiful, we went to the aquarium caught a 3D Imax flick, Underwater seamonsters, which Blake LOVED! We stayed there for 2 days then we drove further north to San Francisco. We went to Pier 39... saw the seals, which we have here in LaJolla but it was just something to see all of them up on these floating docks. We road the cable cars.. and for those of you that know me you know I was having a great big fat cow with my kids not in carseats... but we aahhemm... I made it through unharmed! It was freakin scary though when we were going down hill and that poor guy had to work so hard to stop us sooo fast! We stopped and saw some good friends at Ghiradelli square and then we went over the other side of the Bay Bridge... just so I could go to a scrapbook store... and Kevin was just ecstatic about that let me tell ya! I think he was about to kill me when we were on the bridge and he was watching the nonmoving traffic on the way back.... but it's okay because we went to a really long pier that took us about a mile into the bay and were watching some fisherman catch crab and stingray and this guy even caught a 25 lb. fish.. and I think that was all worth it to Kevin seeing Blake's face light up... so we caught a little dinner with our friends and so the traffic was easy breezy by that time! (thankyou ann, carlos and pepi for showing us around!) Did I tell you I went to a SCRAPBOOK STORE! I don't think Kevin will ever let me live that one down! oh well! I got some goodies! We also went to Muir woods which was beautiful! Absolutely beautiful! We took about a 1 mile hike and the kids loved it! Even after the park ranger told us we needed to be really quiet... and of course Adie my 1 year old doesn't understand this.. oops.. I hope we got some great pics of the woods, it was really hard to take photos in there because it was dark and the flash just ruins all the photos.. and last but definately not least.. we stopped at Disneyland for 2 days on the way back..... did I mention they were the two days that broke high temperature records? Holy cow it was flippin HOT! that's okay though we just lounged by the pool.... did I tell you I forgot my swimming suit! That sucked! Oh and Adie hates being in the water with Daddy. So we just chilled poolSIDE and I sipped on a $12 pina colada drinky... SO GREAT! Anyhow I had an amazing time on our FIRST vacation...and I think we'll do it again! We weren't quite sure how the kids would be on a road trip... they were troopers! Thankyou portable DVD players! :0) So here are a few pictures of our trip.. can't wait to scrap them!
